About

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley, established in 1939, is part of a nationwide affiliation of local, autonomous organizations and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, working to assist young people of Muscogee and Chattahoochee counties in developing the qualities needed to become responsible, productive citizens.

We operate in five club facilities throughout Columbus, Georgia, offering daily access to a wide array of programs in five core areas: Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.  Today, for only $20.00 a year, about 3,200 boys and girls in our community, all of whom come from low-income households, are taking advantage of the programs, activities, and services provided by our organization.

Our programs span outcomes across three program metrics: academic success, character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Outcomes include increased engagement in school and learning, improved academic success, demonstrated increase in positive character traits and civic engagement (as evidenced by member participation in volunteer activities and community service projects), improved decision-making skills, and a demonstrated commitment to leading healthier lives.
